High School Golf

Golf Coaches – Opportunities Ontal-CGW has been working with thHigh Schoe USGTF on their high school golf program.

The USGTF recognizes all golf coaches require an organization not only for accreditation, but also to improve their careers and offer ongoing education by providing instructional videos and training on all aspects of golf coaching. By creating an organization of golf coaches, for the first time they can share their thoughts and ideas nationally with other coaches. Some of the skills that are required to be a successful high school golf coach are:

  • Mental aspects of coaching
  • Golf swing mechanics
  • Sports psychology
  • Fitness Bio-mechanics
  • Advice on personal development
  • Inspiration and Motivation
  • Nutrition Club fitting

The World Golf Coaches Alliance (WGCA) has created an online course for all high school golf coaches to view on a computer or smart phone. They have assembled some of the finest coaches in the world of golf to share their knowledge for our high school golf program. The current courses and videos are:

  • Understanding sports psychology
  • Coaching a high school golf team
  • Understanding fitness and bio-mechanics
  • Mental aspects of coaching golf part 1 and part 2
  • Golf coaching excellence
  • Nutrition Club fitting for golf coaches

For the high school coaches who wish to participate in this program, they should select level I, which is for those who coach at the junior and high school level. We recognize that there are many high school golf coaches that do not possess a high level of golfing skills to successfully help their students and team to become better players. By using this course, they can gain additional training to make their students more competitive.

The second goal of Ontal -Corporate Golf Wellness regarding the high school golf program is to help them raise funds for their golf team. Because high school golf is a non-revenue producing sport, it’s hard to find additional funds to help the golf team. So we have created a fund raising program using golf related items instead of the normal pizza, candy and cookies to raise money. Using a hand-out brochure that the student golfer can take home, they can sell golf products to family, friends and acquaintances. The profits generated from these sales will partially go back to the team to buy items they need for the golf team.

There are over 20,000 USGTF certified golf instructors in the national program who can be of service to every high school golf team if they require a golf teacher for their student golfers. These instructors are available to the team part-time or full-time basis depending upon the needs of the team. Because of our national corporate network, you may use our national buying power to purchase golf equipment and related golf items for your team at greatly reduced prices.

Any high school golf coach who is interested in this program should contact Ontal – Corporate Golf Wellness headquarters to discuss how to enroll in the program.

Corporate Golf Wellness has been selected as the sales and marketing group representing the USGTF for high school golf teams.
